I am a longtime Mac user but just last week purchased my first notebook, the MBP. One thing that has really annoyed me, when I'm not using my Bluetooth Logitech mouse, is how difficult it is to use the F9 feature of Exposé. Has anyone encountered this? I suppose I could use some freeware out there and make up a keyboard combination closer to the track pad (maybe optio+command+space) to subsitute hitting FN + F9. Anyone have suggestions?

there are plenty of keymapping apps out there...but i dont know of any that are intel ok yet. the keyboard pref in mac os x gives you the option of using F9 as a regular key and the special effect of that key with the Fn combo (such as brightness, audio, mirroring, and backlighting brightness).
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

like hookem said, I use screen corners when I'm away from my multibutton mouse. It's pretty easy to use the trackpad to swat a corner.

I'm not keen on the track pad.

I use a multi - mouse and have my 'All windows' bound to middle mouse button.
'Aplication windows' bound to bottom left hot corner and 'Desktop' bound to bottom right.

Works for me

I should have thought of the hot corners...the top right corner should do the trick...thanks!

I remapped:

F9 -> F11
F10 -> fn
F11-> F12

I don't use dashboard much so I've not bother to remap the F12 key.

I just recently took to the corners options and man are they awesome! I have the bottom left for Expose, the Bottom right for the Desktop, and the top right for Dashboard. Even with the trackpad, it's a million times better than my old setup. Highly recommended!

I don't understand the problem. OS X let me remap the Exposé key to the right Apple key in the system preferences. Since it's right next to the spacebar, and quite large, I have no problems reaching it.
