OK, I got the sad face and the folder with the !, a couple of days ago, and yesterday my ipod seemed to work great, but THEN i was running diagnostics on it to see if the hard drive was screwed, and it got stuck at HPDETECT HP FAIl, and it ran out of battery, so i plugged it in and restored it. Problem solved? NO, when i tried to update my restored my iPod i get an error message saying "Attempting to copy to the disk "iPod" failed. An unknown error occurred (-1401). Is my hard drive fried? HELP!
Apparently, I'm a sig violator. I feel honored. Oops.
