THe trouble is Jd has done all of this with the trial licenses, so his work is brilliant how ever he can't as yet let it loose on the Pc world.

Hope so, need a challenge at the rop of the boards, it's getting boring having the top 8 machines macs all the time. Bring on a little friendly competition.

We need to watch what jason_gee and the other from Lunatics.at come up with. It sounds like they have been incorporating all of JDwhale's work.

VO, don't take this the wrong way, but do you really think we care? Anything which improves the speed of crunching data is great news.

when a quad will be second... maybe I will care.
It's just that those guys are incredible, 3k seconds for a 2.40GHz when the 3.20 GHz mac do it in 4300 sec.

Well, neither of those machines you linked are not running at 2.40GHz, they are 3.0GHz and 2.66GHz respectively. Msattlers Penryn is running at 4.581GHz or so, so where did you get this 2.4GHz figure from.
The new PC app will be as fast as the Mac one, maybe slightly faster. Look at the figures properly.
I'm not sure if your trying to be a troll or not, I sure hope not.
And Thurston and Harvey are both running at over 3.3GHz.

I may be off mark here, but 2.40 GHz Quads can easily be overclocked to 3.2 -3.3 GHz on a build it yourself PC board. Only thing stopping us is EFI Firmware is used by Apple and not a BIOS. May try one and Hackintoch it soon. So, their may be some confusion if they are talking about that.
