You know, the CD you usually keep buried underneath all the "cool" current songs playing on the radio...

I only ask, because I busted my friend while driving to Hartford today. I was reaching under the seat to move it back, when I pulled out a Wham! Greatest Hits CD. The poor boy's going to regret it for the rest of his life...

Here are my closet favorites:

Vanilla Ice (awww yeah, rollin' in my 5.0)
Warrant
Hall and Oates
Elvis (I'm a huge fan)

They laughed at my Mac, it had no CLI. They laughed at Linux, it had no GUI. I installed MacOS X, and shut them up.

Chumbawamba. The "Pissin' the night away" CD.

I was contemplating either getting that, or getting a Mighty Mighty Bosstones CD...

The following embarassing stuff I have is on tape, cause that was before I got my first CD player. Anyway, some are more embarassing than others (the first three especially):

Vanilla Ice
Alanis Morisette
Kris Kross
C&C Music Factory
Michael Jackson - the "History" album (bought it for the greatest hits part; the rest sucked beyond belief)
Madonna - The Immaculate Collection
Phil Collins - But Seriously
Depeche Mode - Violator

And then a few years ago I was into 70s music, so I have a few potentially embarassing compilation disco CDs. Oh yeah, and then there's DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince's Greatest Hits.

And what may be most embarassing is that I have the longest list here so far. So I'll issue a disclaimer that I haven't listened to most of the above albums in a few years.

ZAMFIR!!! I freakin love Zamfir!!!
I find it impossible to find his CD's. Listen, if you dont want 'em, and will give them away... I'll take!!!
When you were young and your heart was an open book, you used to say "live and let live."
But if this ever changing world, in which we live in, makes you give in and cry, say "live and let die."

a) What is wrong with Slipper When Wet? That CD still rocks.

b) My most embarrassing CD would be Weezer - Pinkerton. Not embarrassing for me, but embarrassing to Weezer. That CD sucks.

I can't believe some of the stuff you guys actually bought.

Celine Dion - Let's Talk about Love
Meat Loaf - Welcome to the Neighborhood
The Benzedrine Monks of Santa Monica - Chantmania

Those are not mine, I do not know how they got there.

Hey...and Pinkerton wasn't THAT bad...I guess I know the whole Japanese girl and Lesbian love thing and you don't, so maybe it speaks to me more....

Oh yeah...and I hear Weezer is having a new album out again soon?

The Embarassing CDs:
- Hanson
- The Spice Girls
- Limp Bizkit
- Kid Rock

As for Weezer, I don't see where you get off claiming the CD was an embarassment for the band? In fact, most fans, and now even the band, have come to accept it as a cult classic. The new album, Maladroit, hits stores May 14.
Let's show 'em why Macworld 2003 won't be like Macworld 2002.

That's just horrible dude...

I listened to it once when I got it. AWFUL. Had to force myself to listen to it. I tried to listen to it again last night, and had the same feeling.

That 4 year break they took did them some good, because the new album rocks.

Of course I've heard of them and yes, they do suck.

As to my most embarrassing CD it would have to be ELO's Out of the Blue.
What can I say? I bought it for just one track, it was in a sale and as a child of the 70's I'm rather partial to the 70's sound, but that's still no excuse.
I've even got my brother's blue double vinyl somewhere.

Madonna: Like a Prayer. I bought it to play it backwards. There are satanic messages. No joke. She put them in there to piss certain people off.

I can't say that I'm "embarrassed" by any of my CD choices. If I were I wouldn't have purchased them. I love all kinds of music but mainly anything from Metal, Classic Rock and Classical.

I'd be hard pressed to say that any of my music would be "embarrassing". I guess that depends on what sort of merit you put on what other people think of you.
