Can anyone recommend a USB thumb drive that can be used on both iBooks as well as Windows, and have the partition/password feature that also works in iBook? Most USB thumbdrives now on the market have the password feature but they don't work in Mac OS.
Alternative, is there a free download software that provides the partition/password feature to be used in thumb drives on Macs?
Would appreciate your assistance.

The iPod shuffle most certainly doesn't have a password protection feature
There are no such devices that I've ever heard of. The best way to password protect something on a Mac is to put it in an encrypted disk image. Unfortunately, then it won't be readable on Windows.
By the way, since this question has nothing to do with iBooks, please post it in the Peripherals forum next time.

I agree with wataru that this should have been posted in the Peripherals forum. A thumb drive is a peripheral. There's nothing about the iBook that makes it unique in its requirements for such devices.
Anyway, what drives your need for password protection? Just curious.
