Well, I just got my new computer for the office.

I went with the standard configuration Dell Optiplex machines the IT department recommends all physicians to get. (We have to use a PC since the practice management software is Windows Only... on the other hand, the IT department has NO problem whatsoever with me hooking my PowerBook up to the network, so woot, I suppose)

I only have one complaint about this machine (besides the fact that it's Windows XP).

Could Dell have included a cheaper keyboard than the one I got? I mean, this thing feels like it only cost 25 cents.

I will say that it's nice to see that the included keyboard and mouse are USB, but still... The keyboard that came with my PowerMac G5 blows the cheap-arse Dell keyboard out of the water!

Does the PC still have PS/2 ports? That would be as lame as Apple including ADB ports on the original iMac.

Most PCs still come with PS/2 ports, thankfully they also support USB keyboards as 'regular keyboards' now though

The Dell machine I just got at the office does not, but the brand new HP desktop my uncle bought last month sure has them. As do many other PCs sold today.

I just rebuilt my PC with this case. Actually, the pictures don't do it justice. The case is really slick and very classy.
Oh, and as for keyboards, I really like the Logitech DiNovo systems (either the bluetooth or non-bluetooth model). Laptop-style scissor keys, but very high quality. Plus the detachable keypad is nice. Gets it out of the way so the keyboard isn't too wide.
