I burned a DVDR on a Windows computer and it had a few video files on it I need for a project. I brought it to my mac and when I put in the disc, it said the disc was blank and put an empty burn folder on the desktop. Theres nothing there.

I tried searching in spotlight for the files inside but nothing comes up. It shows nothing in the disc. I took out the disc and looked at the bottom and it had the ring around the middle from burning so I know I didn't mix up discs or anything. Can anyone help?

Have you made sure that the burning session is closed?
It is rather common that disc's burned on one computer don't work on the other.
I had it happen on several occasions

I don't know what you mean by that. Do you mean did I finalize it? I had someone else burn it so I don't know if they did I'm pretty sure they did tho. And u say it's common that discs burned on one comp don't work on another? Is there a way around that?

Well you can leave the session open so that you could add the data later on. If you close the session that you cannot add anything afterwards. This tends to be the problem.
People would leave the session open and then the CD/DVD would be readable only on their computer.
This is at least my experience with this matter.
