Hi

I am travelling to the States this month and was told that T-Mobile offered pre-paid plans with data. I've just checked their site and ended up chatting with a sales rep and found that they do not sell pre-paid with data unless I purchase some handset called sidekick - don't want/need this. Are there any alternatives? I did a forum search and the last time this came up was a while ago.

I think there used to be a (back-door) way to do this a long time ago...back when the iPhone 2G was released, if memory serves. With T-Mobile, I have no idea (sorry), but I'd say it's pretty unlikely that there's a work-around. Having been a T-Mobile pre-paid customer myself, I know T treats the two things completely different.
