I have just been using my regular name in most forums lately. I guess I have been getting soft in my old age.

I am kinda sick of using this of for so long.

Not sure if I am going to think up a new one, or just use my nick.

THE DRAMA!~

Now that I have wasted five minutes of your time. Go back to whatever you were doing.

And do it with a smile.

I think you should hit 30,000 posts with Zimphire and then call it a day.. seems like a nice round number to end things on!

I don't see what the big deal about nicknames are. The posts are going to stay the same.

Plus, then you add a little tag ... aka Zimphire.

There are certain things people come to count on in life and although life and progress do indeed always move forward, the multi colored Zimphire stars and an outrageous post count are some of the things that I've come to look forward to just being here, and something I, for one, would surely miss.

More than anything, however, I would miss your succinct little two or three word replies that nail someone's style or manner, that can deflate an ego, call a spade for what it is, or expose the ridiculousness of an argument. And no one can produce the graphics that you do. The variety of them, their humor and how quickly you produce them within seconds of their being prompted.

I respect your decision to do whatever you think is best for you, but MacNN wouldn't be the same without you.

Just wanted you to know.

Uhh, if you miss him so much, you should read his post He's thinking of changing his name, not his style or retiring from posting.

Others suggested (in jest) that he leave altogether and well, I don't know, I just thought maybe he might be feeling like wrapping things up here and I figured the best way to get him to leave and not come back would be to embarass the hell out of him!

Will someone misinterpret this? Do I have to say, "this is a joke?"

What's the point of changing your name? Even if it's your nick? It's still you who would post, so same difference.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Oh, the horror!

First Kilbey becomes RAILroader (nudge, nudge, RAILhead, Maury ) and now you are retiring your name.

This place is going downhill.

I, for one, attribute it all to Steve Jobs and the switch over to Intel. I knew it would come to no good.

Naw. I'm so used to calling you Zimph. It's just they way it's always been. Stop at 50,000.
Don't you think I get tired of CD? Who cares, it's just a name. No point in changing it. People will still call you Zimph.

My dad wanted to name me Bruce Bruce Bruce.. Mom said no.. His second choice was Shawn O'neal Bruce. Mom nixed that, too. Then they got out the baby name book, and gave me a name that folks just can't get right. Sooo.. I get called Bruce a LOT.
