So I decided to do a little test in the PL this past week. Others knew about it and was watching as well. (Hence the other account)

I decided to see what would happen if one didn't break the rules, and just reported people for breaking the rules.

And Pachead was correct.

You get banned as well.

I don't see how MacNN's admins can sit there and honestly say they treat the users here fairly.

So admins, from now on stop faking it. Just admit you are going to ban who you want to regardless if they break the rules or not.

So all of you people that ridiculed, chastised, and made fun of Pac for saying this, You all owe him an apology.

PS. Don't try to legitimize my banning. Too many people were watching.

BTW if any "vigilantism" goes on in these forums because of this, I was not involved, nor did I promote it.

Good experiment, Zimpi. Sort confirms what common sense told us all along.
And it re-enforces my decision to stay away from PL as much as possible. It's teh devil !

So in the future, to get someone banned, it takes nothing more than a new nick and some "report abuse" clicks...

What are you going to do with the KevinK nick ? Keep it as a backup to rant in the PL and get people banned ? Sell it on eBay ? Donate it to a charity ?

Naw I might eventually go back to it. I created it for a purpose.

Like I said, this was a test. People where watching.

Now, if I had known what this was going to cause, I probably wouldn't have done it.

Admins should not really expect to do these things without repercussions I guess.

And I lost a few people who I thought were my friends. You know who you are.

There is a system here to keep the users in check.

We now obviously need a system to keep admins and those who can ban in check also.

Before someone takes it into their own hands.

Well, after the truth is coming to the light, maybe it's only a temp bann. After some time, the admins usually settle down a bit... Think of Ambush and others.

The truth was never hidden.

I know people make mistakes turtle. I hold no ill will towards anyone.

But I did make my intentions and what I was doing known before I got banned.

The admins and owners of MacNN don't realize it, but I Just cut something off at the pass, that would have blown NN into oblivion because of said actions.

If I was vengeful, or wanted retribution, I would have let it happen.

I'd just like it to stop. That is all.
