I'm sure there's 100 posts about this, but I'll admit, I'm lazy.

I just bought a powerbook 1gz 15inch from apple.com and my friend has a 15inch 1.5 powerbook.

I assume both take the same memory.

Here's my questions.

• Does apple use samsung memory?

• Is crucial the best place to buy from (price/quality?)

I checked out ramseeker and there are some sweet deals, but we would rarther buy quality ram for more money than save 40 bucks.

We are looking for 1GB sticks to put in.

Thanks.

No. Hynix is Hynix and Samsung is Samsung. They're two different vendors of memory chips and DIMMs.
