This reminds me of that story about that man who tried to rob a convenience store. He brought some merchandise to the counter and put a $20 bill down so the clerk would open the register. Once the register was open, the man pulled out a gun and demanded that the clerk give him the register's cash tray. The clerk complied. The man then ran out with the tray, leaving the $20 on the table.
The tray had $15 in it.
