Hi!
Safari in Panther 7b49 sporadically tries to connect to macnexus.org on port 8100 (xprint server or something like that). Could someone tell me what that means? Thanks!
(Sorry if this is regarded as a Panther support thread).

Any discussion of Panther software is a thread about Panther..... you're not sorry, you just want to ignore the rules.

No it is not related to Panther.
It is user davidb224's signature that wants to connect to macnexus.org to fetch an image.
Visit the topics he's in and you'll get the LittleSnitch pop-up.

The world would be a better place if we all could read sources of web pages.

Hi!
But not every thread about Panther is a Panther support thread. I assume when admins talk about locking Panther support threads they mean threads that deal with acquiring and installing Panther, not people seeking help to solve problems in Panther.
BTW: I originally had a second question that I deleted after finding the answer myself shortly after, and I also changed the subject in the process, but for some reason the old one is still being displayed.

Hi!
Thanks for your answer, Musti!
Sometimes I can't believe how dumb I am. I should at least have noticed that it was not restricted to Safari in Panther...

If Panther is a relevant detail, then it is a Panther support thread. If Panther is not a relevant detail, then it should not be mentioned.

My panther eats five t-bone steaks a day and I don't think I can support him anymore. (Sorry if this is a panther support thread).

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.
