I know that there have been threads about iPod cases in the past, but I just wanted to give my impressions of this company quickly.

I have just bought a new iPod and was looking for a case for it, but I'm not into these leather jobs, that are over engineered... I just wanted something to protect if from scratches in my bag and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

It's simple yet functional!

Here's a quick pic.

If I were you, I'd buy some sort of a screen and wheel protector. I wouldn't want to get that screen scratched by anything.

I thought about that... is there anything that is VERY thin and inconspicuous though?

I have to agree the kimono fabric looked great, but not very masculine!

I am old enough now that I don't worry about how someone else views my masculinity.

TrendyGeek.com has a very nice iPod screen and case protector. The iPod Shield is a very thin skin that uses static cling to stick to your iPod. Because it's a static cling, you can remove it, wash it, and stick it back on. They're very cheap and work very well.

Check it out: http://www.trendygeek.com/prod-pod-shield.php

Only problem with it being static is that it would probably slide off when I get my ipod in and out of the foofpod.

Probably not. I keep my iPod in an Arnette sunglass bag and it's fine. The TrendyGeek is a good product, mine's been on my iPod for a year now.

Any plastic covering advertised for use on one type of device works on others.

I still have a dozen sheets of a screen protector I bought for my Newtons (still running, BTW) and have used them on my iPod, my digital camera screens, etc. After a week or so any tiny bubbles trapped under the layer bleed out and it looks perfect.

Do *not* use contact paper, though. Its adhesive will not come off. Use something specifically sold as a stick-on screen protector.

Using Macs since they were Lisas.
