Ricoh has launched a set of three monochrome laser printers in the United States. The
SP 213SNw and
SP 213SFNw multifunction printers and the
SP 213Nw printer all offer print speeds of up to 23 pages per minute, a low 10-second wait for the first print, minimal warm-up times, and a number of different connectivity and networking options.
All three can be connected using USB 2.0 and Ethernet, with the SP 213 series also including the option to connect to a network over Wi-Fi. The trio all use a 360MHz PCL print controller with 128MB of RAM and a fanless design said to help keep the printers quiet, with each including 80 resident PCL fonts, and can print at up to 1200x600dpi.
Ricoh SP 213Nw Laser Printer
While the SP 213Nw is just a laser printer, the SP 213SNw and SFNw are 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 multifunction devices respectively, capable of scanning and copying documents at 600x600dpi, and come supplied with a four-line LCD panel for monitoring ink levels and changing settings. The SFNw version also includes the ability to fax documents, and has a built-in 100-entry address book.

Ricoh is shipping the SP 213Nw laser printer for $145, while the SP 213SNw and the SP 213SFNw multifunction printers are priced at $195 and $245.
