I need a new battery for my blackbook. . Do I have to spend the $129 list for a battery?

Anyone make a good oem battery for less? Anyone ever useone?

That's pretty much the going rate for a brand new battery (regardless of the vendor). You may be able to score a slightly better deal from Amazon, but beware some of them are refurbs. iFixit has new batteries for $99 and a-stock batteries for $89.

Fastmac sells some higher capacity batteries for a little cheaper than apple's prices

I've read that the "high capacity" third-party batteries last no longer than Apple's. Just buy the original battery.
