Has anyone else had any problems with the machines such as not shutting down, ejecting CDs, and crashes (not just programs-system). Doesn't happen on my good old G4 450. I just got the dual2. Thanks for your response.

No problems here. Almost 24/7 for one week on my dual. Did you install anything? Maybe try reinstalling OSX from the back-up DVD.

I had a problem like that back when I got the Dual 1GHz G4 right when they came out. It kernel panicked all the time and crashed the whole OS.

A couple things to check:

1) RAM - bad RAM can kill a system
2) Hard Drive - I know it doesn't make sense, but yes, your hard drive can make your OS kernel panic. I have proof.
3) Processor - Sometimes the new machines get some bad processors sent out with the initial wave of shipments.

One of the best options is to take it to your closest Apple Store and have them take a look at it.

I'm going to keep a record of what goes on (if anything) over the next week and if there are any problems I'll take it in. Not many people seem to be having trouble so maybe it's just an isolated incident.

Running just fine. No problems at all. Love the BT key board.

I'll let you know what happens when I get mine. Just got the word it's shipping 23 days early

I had issues with my 1.25 when they first came out. I found it to be a problem with the HD I IBM deskstars(Deathstar) have had issues in the past this would cause my machine to blue screen. They did not turn on the acoustic damper in the drive by default which can cause the HD to had a head crash or make the head skip.
