I'm curious if the keys on the AL line of PowerBooks are also made of Aluminum.

Well whether or not it's *real* aluminum, I'm not sure, however it's coated to feel exactly like the outside of a AlBook does. It's like it was a solid slab of Al and they cut squares in it for the keyboard...such a comfy one to type on.

lol. ok, they're plastic. I gotta say I love the feel of this keyboard!

Followup Q: Since they're plastic keys but the symbols are etched, is there a possibility the symbols will eventually wear out?

no... if they had been printed, like normal keyboards, the 'ink' (or whatever they use) can wear off with use. but, since with the PB keyboards the shape has been physically cut out of the keys, it won't wear off.

NOPE! One of the benefits of "etching".

That's great! I'm glad my PB keys won't look like one of my TV remotes!
