I have set my computer to load all my apps at startup through the Startup Items list in the System Preferences Account Settings panel. I think this is very convenient and although I often don't need to restart my computer, the 3.5 minute wait for all my apps (Acrobat, Britannica, Word/Excel, especially) total is something I don't look forward to.
I think I could make the apps load faster if each had the CPU to themself until it was finished loading. I know I can control the order in which apps on the Startup Items list launch. Does anyone know a way to add delays between items? I heard AppleScript may be able to do this?
Thanks!
Looking forward.
