I'm looking for good horror and/or thriller movies on iTunes to rent. I really like the ones where they take place in the middle of nowhere - be it a old motel or cabin, etc.

Anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

I'm amazed that The Shining and Misery haven't been suggested yet. Shame on you people.

Whoa.

timmerk asked for movies set in secluded environments, and if Misery doesn't fit that bill then I don't know what does. Then of course, there's the fact that it's actually a very highly acclaimed flick.

'The film was ranked #12 on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments'

90% @ Rotten Tomatoes: "Elevated by standout performances from James Caan and Kathy Bates, this taut and frightening film is one of the best Stephen King adaptations to date."

I loved Identity. Not exactly horror, but entertaining.

For every four parts dream transmission, gods from another dimension, and Alice Cooper, you get one part zombie stabbed in the eye with a chopstick.
