Wow, haven't done that list for quite a long time!

- CornerClick (a bit buggy and not anymore updated since years but still working)
- Plex
- JDownloader
- Movist
- Vox

and a special lifetime achievement award goes to:
- VLC (congratulations for being in the list more than a decade now!! )

My favorite free apps:

1) Handbrake
2) VLC
3) Plex
4) Chrome

Apps I have a lasting contempt for:
Any Microsoft product, particularly Outlook - horrid on Macs, great on PCs, no wonder. Die Microsoft, die!
Any Oracle product - still looks like 1970s programming + has the most ludicrous Java requirements.
Sophos Anti-virus: Poorly written, system resource hog, utter crap. Use Clam

3. Audacity
4. R
5. NeoOffice (as much as it pains me to say it's not free and is buggy as all heck, but boy can it do a ton of vector graphics)

I was heavily into pharmacology back in college. Think WUCMS would accept those “credits”?
