After installing the most recent iTunes update (10.1.1), I now receive the following error message when I try to open the application:

iTunes cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure iTunes works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

What the heck? Anybody having any problems with this update (which showed up in Software Update)?

Not seeing that at all.

Have you tried the standard "log out/log back in" and rebooting the machine?

Checked out Apple's discussion boards and there were others affected as well. Per one of the recommendations, I downloaded and installed the same update (without installing anything) directly from Apple's website: Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now

Problem fixed.

I had the exact same problem. Downloading and reinstalling fixed it.

I am having a similar problem. At install Itunes 10.1.1 tells me ' this software does not contain support for the system language."
I am running Snow Leopard 6.5. Tried all the usual things, permissions, removing all signs of itunes, rebooting, reloading OSX, Nothing seems to fix the problem.
