Let's have some Satellite Radio Shock Jock Fun. If you have Sirius or XM (or have heard both shows before), which bandwagon are you on? OnA all the way for me.

* More interactive show with the Pests and Wackbag's Photoshop Forum
* Comics > Porn Stars
* More to the show than just porn stars and sex talk
* Hasn't been doing "subbar radio for the past 10 years" (Stern's quote)
* Tissue time with Beth & Allison
* Don't take Fridays off
* No newsgirl in a dunking booth.

Pick a side!

I can't pick a side. When I was living in Philly, I would listen to Stern in the morning, and OaA during the afternoon drive. I like them both, they made the drive into/outta work so much fun!

When I was in the military they gave me a medal for killing two men and a discharge for loving one.

I listened to both and Stern is the hands down winner. He has the best guests that O&A dream of having on. Stern will change the face of radio like cable TV changed TV.

They aren't anything special, just to DJ's who can hold an entire conversation using nothing but swear words. Personally, I don't feel the need to use or listen to that language. I like humor, just not that kind of humor.

PAY for Howard Stern... ha ha ha...

I was once a big fan... in college... but he lost me a few years back. His shameless self promoting, Robin "I'm good/smart, you are bad/dumb" Quivers, and the rest of the "broken record" lowbrow cast...

I'm wondering how long it's going to take for him to turn on XM and the new program director...

I look forward to someone new.

Stern

not for the naked girls, not for the potty mouth, not for the guests.

it's for the family therapy of the crew...how they reate to each other and the underlying fustration, love, hate, jealousy, etc...and when it erupts and reviel itself like robin, fred and gary storming out of the studio...we expected it but when it happens, something comes up from all of our unconciousness

that 20 + year history is, for me, the charm of the show.

stern is great. i mean. it gets a bit boring sometimes (some of the people he interviews are just ****ing boring movie star types), but usually when stern talks about his personal life or things that matter to him its amazing. hes a great man.

I'm in the Stern camp too. There would be no Opie & Anthony without Stern.

Your use of the Boy Scout photos has brought a smile to my face. I invented boy scouts. hoo hoo.

I have XM. O&A used to be pay-per-hear. Now it's free. Gotta ask why.

Anyway: A friend of mine likes them so I've given them a chance, but not once have they EVER made me laugh. Even worse, they can't seem to let go of a topic. Even if they get on something even remotely interesting, they kill it by talking about it to death until you are sick of it.

Quite honestly, and with an open mind ... I can't stand O&A.

Stern ... I chuckle sometimes, and I actually enjoy his show sometimes. He too ocassionally gets old, but more often than not I listen to him.

That said: Will I switch to Sirius from XM just for him? No. XM would have to royally piss me off for that. (Especially since XM is built into my wife's car whereas Sirius is not.)
