I need to rebuild my mailboxes in Mal.app as the search facility is not correctly finding many e-mails. I notice that some of the mailboxes in my list of folders are white and others blue. For some reason, if you select a white mailbox it is not possible to rebuild the sub-mailboxes within it, but you can do so on the blue mailboxes. Any thoughts on this?

I think I've seen this before with IMAP folders that "aren't really folders" or something like that. Are these folders on an IMAP server?

How spooky is that? It's all nicely explained in JKT's link to Macworld. Thanks.
