we have a superdrive equipped powermac here at work. iDVD came with it and now we want to re-install.

how do i re-install just that program and not my whole OS?

Pacifist. But you have to find the hidden folder of packages on the second install disc (not hard to find).

open a terminal

cd /Volumes
do an ls, find out the volume name of the restore CD
cd to that folder
cd to .images

So now you're in /Volumes/NAME OF CD/.images
cp idvd.dmg to ~/Desktop
now your idvd dmg file is on the desktop, copy it to your apps folder
