Yes, I did a search for enclosures, but didn't find many specifically addressing notebook SATA drives. So:
I've been able to find cheap (≤$30) FW/USB enclosures for regular IDE (PATA) drives, and single-interface enclosures for SATA drives, but the cheapest 2.5" SATA enclosure I've found with both USB and FW is $70. Has anyone spotted a reasonably priced dual-interface little SATA enclosure?

I wish you luck, but I doubt you'll find one (at least, one you'd actually want to use). 2.5" USB<->SATA enclosures are ridiculously cheap, like $10 or even free AMIR, but the good Firewire<->SATA chipsets are still quite expensive because there isn't much choice/competition.

Dang. I was beginning to think I wouldn't find one, but held out hope that you'd show up here with a link. I guess I can live without FireWire at this point, but I like to keep my options open. Although I have some other FW drives sitting around if I really need to make an external boot drive for a PowerPC Mac.
Anyway, thanks for the input.
