A new front end for the giFT client to connect to FastTrack (Kazaa).
link removed
Still in Beta (and it takes it's interface from Acquisition heavily and it shows in several places)

I see you have chosen to ignore the plee for the developer of the app.
From the above link
Don't dare link to the URL below. This is a beta release not intended for wide public release. I will personally castrate anyone who does link or mention this URL in public. xlife.org can tolerate only the most minimal of traffic. Do we have an understanding? This software is for this forum only right now.
mlMac is working perfectly for me at the moment anyway.

He should just ADD this to Acquisition. Seems silly using two programs that basically look and perform the same function.
But so far it looks good.

Not linking to the link he said not to. Just pointing at the forum which has further instructions.

Not to seem ********ed but the link to iBug was out when it was a beta. (I've removed the link, if you all would and/or mods would remove it, [or the entire thread], this would make the error alittle better.)

More likely he just doesn't want hackers to get a shot at his new baby. That link just led back to xlife.org, which is where all Acquisition downloads come from.

We're not talking about a RB HTML editor here.

He's not the first, I just thought that the people here (who have been using random implementations of this protocol for weeks) would like to see another interface on top (which is one of the better ones IMHO)

I've been using Kazaa-on-mac for weeks now. What's stopping you?

What's stopping me?
eDonkey is a pain in the ass to set up (I've done it, tho.)
eDonkey uses HUGE temp files that hogged 10 gig of my poor ibook's hard disk for 1 month until I noticed what was going on.
the nicest interface (that I know of) to mlnet is a X11 one, not an aqua one.
the most decent Cocoa interface to mlnet would be mlMac but it's buggy as hell
And last, but not the least, I don't see myself installing mlnet on my 10 year-old sister's eMac. She'll scream and freak when she sees what it looks like.

Have you ever heard of giFTBoX or Poisoned? The both run on the same core that Liberty does (giFT)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't apps like Kazaa and Aquisition and the like just tools to pirate? If you can't beta test a pirating tool, is that something to get mad about?

well, if you want to test beta versions, then don't complain that you don't like the interface. You said you wanted to test "kazaa-on-mac", you didn't say "kazaa-on-mac with a beautiful yet elegant interface that required no installation and the configuration needs to read my mind". You also said "I'd like to test", not "my 10-year old sister and I would like to test". chill.

I tried Liberty but I do not like the program quitting after an hour and you can't relaunch it until time has passed. Instead, I just installed Poisoned and I couldn't be happier .
