He is Jeff Albertson. Darn, he's important enough for a name now...

I didn't get what this thread was about until I used Google to find a post on a different forum that actually said it.

Well incase someone else is wondering, On the Simpsons there was a character known simply as "The Comic Book Guy." In the show following the Super Bowl, they announced his name. (The fact that I read a trivia card about this today makes it all the more interesting)

wow. They just keep getting worse and worse....

Why are they still on the air? Simpsons are way past their prime.

As much as I loved this show, I hope it's the last season. It should have ended a few years ago, while in it's prime. I can't stand to see the show decline season after season. I really hope the same thing won't happen to Familly Guy.

i think the show has gotten good again over the last 2 years. or atleast not bad.

this season the nelson's moms ppanties falling down was CLASSIC!

[i dont watch every show but i think it's getting to the stage where different Simpsons teams leave their mark during a season. so i would not want to see it canceled because there may be someone out there who takes it in a direction in a few years thats great]

"The Collector" was only his alter ego for a "superhero" themed special. Bart was "stretch dude" and I believe lisa was "clobber girl".

I'll still call him Comic Book Guy.

After Sunday's episode me and my roomie just looked at eachother and laughed at how bad an episode it was. This needs to be their last season. I know 15 was pretty good, 14 and 13 were bad.

Since I don't have cable we watch alot of DVDs, mainly Simpsons. Watching the older episodes made me fall in love with the show again, so many hilarious moments that will never be topped. This recent season makes me chuckle, but its not the same show, its like a parody of a parody of itself, really quite bizzare and almost painful to watch.

Luckily Aqua Teen keeps getting more awesome.

agreed. i hate how these days it's turned into a 'guest starring' vehicle for every z-list celebrity that asks for a voice-over part. it kind of takes the edge off the comedy when they shoe-horn a sycophantic plot revolving round some band or actor into every episode.

Heh; tonight's episode (on my Fox station, anyway) had a reference to http://whatbadgerseat.com - which also is a real website (made by Fox, that is). Oh, those crazy Simpsons creators!

The Simpsons do need to be cancelled but they won't any time soon they still make to much cash. I don't know when it happened but I think fox tried to make it just like family guy... I liked Homer being Homer, not Peter.
