I came down with swine flu for the second time yesterday. I am so pissed with this crappy thing. It takes about all my energy to type this... Anybody else here had the swine flu? Anything I can do to speed up recovery?

You could try the middle-class white man's way to cure sickness using Campbell's chicken noodle soup, DayQuil, and Sprite.

Yeah, you're sure it's H1N1 again?

Have you considered going to a chiropractor?

No, you can't but the seasonal flu is going to feel the same and isn't H1N1 so the antibodies don't work.

You likely got the seasonal flu or if it is H1N1 then you had the seasonal before. I seriously doubt you got H1N1 again, tho I guess it is in the real of possibility.

Well whatever it is, the symptoms are exactly the same as when I had swine flu in November. I guess I just got seasonal this time then.

How are the swine flu symptoms different from a regular flu?

Do you have a fever and aches on your body?

Tip: Get your flu shot next year.

Keep hydrated, especially if you're vomiting. Take ibuprofen to keep your fever down (unless you're allergic.) Lots of rest.

If you infect someone else the virus will leave you faster, so if I were you I'd stand abnormally close to everyone and spend a lot of time on airplanes, public transportation, etc.

I never understood that with those stupid cold medicine commercials like DayQuil and Thermaflu. They make you feel a little better so you can go to work and infect everyone?

Yep - pretty much it. And you may end up sicker longer because the symptoms are just your body fighting the virus.

It's a juggling act between getting better and fighting symptoms. I rarely take anything when I'm sick, unless it stops me from sleeping.
