Hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up with you thinking there's a Mac version! No, I am just dying to know if it's at all possible to get EQ to run under VPC. Does anyone know? Has anyone tried? Experiences, comments, help!

Probably not...most 3D games don't run at all under VPC...unless you have a Voodoo card and VPC3 which had some Voodoo drivers, but you'd also want a fast computer and *even* after all that trouble, a game such as EverQuest would run very slowly.

I tried it on my iBook 500. It doesn't work well at all. You attempt to load EQ and you can hear the drive churning but nothing ever happens (well, I gave up after 10 minutes)....

i tried to sign up for the beta version of EQ but the only countries on the list are USA. Is this like a bug or is the beta version only ltd to USA??? Frustrating.. grr...

I prefer games that have some sort of end and yet good replayability.

Some people enjoy having a character that you can constantly change and interacting in a huge world where every other player is real. I would, but I don't want to pay monthly for it.
