I'm flying Club Class (Biz Class) on a BA 747. What type of power do they have at the seats? is it Empower? The car lighter type? or something else? Thanks!

I hesitated to reply to this because I recently asked this quesiton for Air France and got a ton of replies from everybody that offered no real answers. My experience indicates that unless your airline specifically says they offer empower, you can forget about it.

Air France, btw, didn't offer any power solution in business class. Delta, on the return flight, did.

BA uses empower connectors from my experiences in 1st on its long haul flights (B747/777). I suspect that the connectors will also be in business.

For intra-europe I have seen another type of connector that is not empower and not a lighter socket. They offereded to sell the adaptor on board to convert from the wierd connector to a lighter socket, I didn't end up getting it.
