I've got an hp Color LaserJet 1500L that is attached to a Windows 2000 server via USB. All the windows computers can print to it just fine. However, when I try to add it via the Print Center on my Mac it does not list the driver for it. Note, I do see it in the list of windows shared printers. But, when I select it and then choose 'hp' there is no Color Laserjet 1500 in the list. I've installed the drivers from the CD and from HP's website. I even did a 'sudo open' on the installer to see if running it as root made a difference. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Well, the plot thickens. If I connect the printer directly to the my Mac, it is recgnized automatically. I'm going to try sharing through a Mac next to see if another Mac can access it, but it looks like it may not be compatible with Windows sharing.

Have you installed the latest driver? This driver was released after Panther, so if you're just using Panther's built-in driver you may not be up to date.

I actually did the website route first. I've still yet to try the sharing from a Mac.
