Happy (early) Thanksgiving!

I'm at Central Park West and 82nd where the Thanksgiving Day Parade begins. The setup started hours ago, but the fun stuff starts now.
The giant balloons are unloaded from flat bed trucks, stretched out, and slowly inflated.

I'll upload pics when I can, so enjoy.

Helium!

Flat beds with balloons

Buzz Lightyear

A rather deflated Smurf

This Smurf looks like he's hitting the 'ole bottle.

A couple more. It's getting cold out, and the champagne isn't helping. So cheers all, Happy Thanksgiving!

Buzz is almost inflated...

I don't know what this giant centipede thing is, but the kids seem to like it.

last two: Buzz and a giant basketball (there is also a baseball on the other side, but they're not marked yet so I have no idea what they represent)

Doing shots of Jagermeister now - the illusion of warmth is making me sweat. Damn that's good stuff. Just thought I'd share that with anyone who is still alive out there.
The balloons looks good and ready for tomorrow. over and out, cheers all.

I had no idea what that was until I googled it. It's a floating movie poster!

I was only paying attention with half an ear while cooking... the kids liked it. The sesame street song made me tear up. Nice to see the old cast members still there and singing along.
