For some reason, iMovie 10 (I'm on Yosemite) does not include sound effects for mouse click and double-click. Since I use this all the time with screen captures, I thought I'd just import .mp3 files I have of these sounds into the tool. When I do this, the sounds become silent when I preview them in the event viewer and when I drag them to a movie.
I then tried opening the iMovie package and adding the files to the sound effects folder(s) so I could easily grab them in any project I create. When I do this, I can bring them into a project and they seem to work at first, but then, the effects become silent! If I try to re-drag the effect into my movie, I get the circle/slash symbol, meaning I can't bring it in for some reason. I've noticed that when this happens, if I go to the event for my movie, I see the clips were actually imported in, but the waveforms are gone, aka the clips are silent again. I have to trash them before I can try bringing them in again.
Is this a bug? Any ideas?
