I was thinking of upgrading my 400Mhz G4 by installing the Sonnet Encore 1Ghz processor.

has anyone used Sonnet products before, and have anything positive/negative to say about the performance.

I had a Sonnet G4 500MHz upgrade in a beige G3 and then moved it to a B&W G3. It worked great in both machines. The performance difference was significant.
