I have a macbook with 10.6.3 loaded from a newly purchased OSX CD. Everything has been updated. Interestingly, it uses port range 49000-65000 for http and https and everything else. Port 80 and 443 are not functional, since blocking these ports does not prevent me from accessing the web in any way. If I block traffic through ports 49000-65000, I will have no connection, wired or wireless. Whats going on?
