GMail beta is supposed to support Safari 1.2.2.

Mac OS X 10.3.4, no userContent.css (etc.) as filter.

Two problems: some of the links (like Settings, or a message title) don't work and link destinations don't appear in the status bar.

I tried setting the user-agent to something else, which didn't seem to help, and now I can't reset it to Automatically Chosen. How do I set it back to Safari?

Help very much appreciated.

Well, Gmail is beta, and if you're using it, then you are a beta tester. As such, send *Google* feedback / bug reports.

My question isn't about GMail, per say, since I've read that others don't have problems with Safari.

My question is how to cause Safari to revert to using the 'Automatically Chosen' user agent.

Close the window. It will revert back to the default with the next new window. The user agent settings only persist for the current window.

Wrong forum, btw.

Thank you very much, Art Vandelay. Amazing how simple a solution that is.

Wrong forum? Well, sonny, back in the day, we didn't have any MacNN forums... no, sireee, we all just yelled into tin cans... :-)

As soon as GMail sends one to me, it's yours.
