Hey all, I'm a bit controlling with my home folder, and ever since Snow Leopard came out I haven't found a way to get rid of the Public. I have no use of the folder, and it's a little annoying that it stays there, anyone know of a good utility to force it to go away? I've tried all my normal ways of forcing the Finder to bend to my will but it seems rather stubborn.

I actually used my Public folder to store something useful. I put my preferred wallpaper pictures in it. That way, the folder can stay, but it does something helpful instead of just wasting space. I treated the Shared users folder the same way. I put Firefox and Thunderbird backup files in that one.
