17" hinge: how to tighten it a bit?

Sorry, minor issue with my 17" PB:

It seems the hinge is a bit too easy going. When I type (I have a hard attack), the screen bounces back and forth a bit.

Could I tighten the hinge myself? I mean, I don't want to send the machine to repairs because of this.

To do that requires that you remove the top case, bottom case, shield, logic board, etc. to access the clutch that controls the stiffness of the hinge. Even then, there's no guarantee that much could be done other than replace the LCD clutch/brace frame. Do you have a local service center, maybe in Zurich?

I see. If it really bothers me a lot, I will take it to a local service center. No way I will do this by myself if the screw is hidden that much.

yeah, I have a 15" PB and the hinge is kinda loose on it as well. The screen doesn't shake all the time but it happens fairly often, I just guess it is the surface you type on.

I also have this weird discolouration on the hinges as well.
