I frequently take my iBook to the public library for intensive web surfing. But whenever I press the touchpad button, it can be heard by other public users around me, which can be annoying especially to the people next to me, as they give me the looks.

Has any iBook user managed to install the tap feature in the iBook instead of using the touchpad/mouse single button? If you did, I would appreciate learning how you did it.

Second question: I understand there is a combination of keys that, when clicked, would give the equivalent of clicking the right-button on a standing mouse. Couldn't find it in the iBook book.

Suggestions welcome.

I use the iScroll2 software, which enables scrolling (I have the older ibook, which didnt have a scrolling trackpad), enables the tap feature, and makes it easier to right click.

At present, without the software installed, to right click on the ibook you must use the Ctrl key and press the mouse button at the same time. With the software you can place 2 fingers on the trackpad, press the mouse button, and then it right clicks.

You can enable tapping and dragging from the trackpad in System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> Trackpad. As posted above, a 'right click' is done by ctrl-clicking.
