odd sound issue with yosomite

my mac is a 2013 imac running yosemite
but i have an odd sound issue
when i want to reduce sound level, my screen gets rolled up
but the sound stays the same
do i have to reinstall, or is there a way to switch this?

Press "fn" when you want to reduce the sound level with "F11" or go to the settings and change that behaviour:

May be it is due to the bluetooth issue. To get rid of it, check system Preferences or have you tried SMC re-set of your Mac. you can go for a restart to get back the volume control.
