Unless the member goatsrfun knows how to post invisible messages, the database that runs the MacNN Forums has been hacked.

Any relation to that nasty picture link to on Slashdot?

Just a vengeful, juvenile attack on the forums. The messages aren't invisible, they've simply been removed by us.

The admins can set someones post count too anything they want, there have also been bugs that have changed post counts.

Many things could cause strange post count numbers then "the forum being hacked".

The real question is what the **** is up with tooki's stars. How long have they been like that?

This isn't the first time this has happened, of course. Was it the admin Kevin's friend, Chris Gilpin, again? That's who did it last time. El 'Hooderino, break out the hammer, dude. And the ****** pic. Come on, it stopped being funny a long time ago. Get more creative, people.

If your eyes are burning from that image (as mine are), the best thing to do is put gapingidiot and loserboy on IGNORE. It's MUCH easier on the eyes that way.

Not necessary, the admins will delete all their posts soon enough, and then they'll just come up with a new screen name. Putting them on your ignore list is really just a waste of your time.

its too bad the administrators here don't have the balls to go after this punk through his ISP. I dont think i'll be spending much more time here as long as the forums are not work-safe.

Response time is not that fast if you haven't noticed. It takes two whole clicks to put someone on ignore, and in this case it's worth it (but that's just me).

The loser pvt messaged me with image links.

If no one else got pvt messaged,

I just did the ctrl-click block image option the first time, and it looks like pithhelmet added this:

How exactly am I off the marker? There is a pattern of systematic abuse. Multiple fraudulent signups with the sole intention of disruption. Unless you have inside knowledge that this asswipe is using 37 different ISP's to make different user accounts then please explain your post.

If you are talking about tookies stars, that actually could be called a hack, just not the kind you're thinking about.

By the way, Now demonhood has his own stars?

Couldn't you guys be spending that time on fixing the post counts instead of giving yourselfs custom stars?

Ever heard of AOL? Ever heard of Ca$h? Know how much efforts mods put into banning Ca$h permanently?

If you know those stories then you should know that you're off the marker.

calm down people.

1) it's a bunch of different people doing this crap, not one person. we ARE doing something about it.

2) the post count issue IS being worked on. the people that know how to fix it are just having a busy week. and frankly, it isn't priority number one.

3) i got jealous of tooki's shrooms, so i threw some red orbs together just for fun.
not sure if i like em yet. maybe they'll grow on me.

If red orbs start to grow on you, uh, I don't think that's a good thing. Seek medical attention...

You weren't supposed to burn those off. That was the new symbiot! You know, you try and get some one some thing nice, something you think they'll like, that they can use, and they burn it off...
