With all of the recent immature postings on the boards recently, couldn't the mods just block the source of that image? Since every single post is just the same thing, and I'm sure from the same server...it would be much quicker than having to delete all of his posts.

Sure, he would try putting it on a different server...but finding new servers all the time would be a lot of effort, more effort than just making new accounts.

If I can block the image in OmniWeb, surely the mods can block it board wide?

Theres normaly a reason for this.

They could ban the ip but it might be on a popular hosting provider.

They could ban the link but he could change the name.

Then again they might just be bored and want to delete each one

obviously, we DO block the image. but it's hosted on a great number of servers. and it's not like we could write some kind of algorithm to search every jpg for an exposed anus. or could we.....

strcomp(image.description(), "exposed anus") ? block(image) : allow(image);

Now, we just need a way to get a computer to describe an image in words.

Exactly - they have blocked it - you can no longer link to it as it's in the profanosaurus.

I would actually pay for a Safari plug in that did that.

Well, there's Pith Helmet. It's not perfect, but I can go to [that site] and the images simply don't show up. I also blocked all images from the domain that was hosting the images for the recent spamming of the forums. Best of all, it's free.

Maybe it had to do with the hackers on Sunday!

I feel left out, I don't want to see the image, I just want to know where it was posted. Evidently many places.

Posting a bunch of images on this forum isn't hacking in any definition.

Well, they did bypass the limit to how often you can post. That would technically be a hack.

Hehe, reminds me of when we pointed a friend's browser at the sight and left the room before it loaded (it was back in the modem days). Seconds later: "OH DEAR GOD!!!!"

Man... you guys don't know pain. *evil maniacal laughter* No... if you really want to know what's pain, something 10 times worse than this simple image, then you'll have to solve this riddle, and put a www and a com after it into your browser. Don't say you haven't been warned (mods don't delete this please, I've warned them!)

*****

1 = After a hot and sweaty day, I like to go home and fall into this ceramic thing.
2 = Stonehenge represents an object normally found on a what?

Now, both answers have about 2 or more choice to them so you'll have to experiment with them.

But the site is at: 1 + 2 = 3. So whatever you get for 3 (one word of course; 7 letters long), the site is www.3.com

Enjoy!

I worked out what site this is from your first clue, (having seen the site before ), but I don't know what object Stonehenge represents. Care to enlighten one who's already been, uh, initiated?

So the question becomes, which is worse: Ye Olde Gaping Anus or Ye Olde Spewing Hole? The two descriptions are shamelessly ripped off from SomethingAwful.com.

By the way, the site supposedly about goats has a few things, other than Ye Olde Gaping Anus. Among them, there's a section of Bad Goth Poetry that is almost as painful. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately?) I cannot link to it here anymore. Going to the URL from that site, add /~ataraxia onto the end and you will find it.

Note that that site, including the poetry section has a favicon of Ye Olde Gaping Anus, however being 16x16 the icon manages to be too small to nauseate.
