In response to Apple's 'Switcher' ads, HP produced a series of ads featuring the "HP Hobo," a Buffalo, NY vagabond who says he switched to PCs because "Macs were just too hard to find in the dumpster." The HP Hobo, whose true identity is unknown, also points out that PCs just make more sense for the modern, jetsetting homeless person because the large, beige boxes can double as secure storage for valuables such as whiskey, change, and roadkill.
