We have several machines with multiple users who want to share the same iphoto & itunes libraries.

We've had problems in the past using the shared user area (especially in iphoto)... can someone walk me through the gotchas.

Also is it easier if the libraries, instead of being on the shared user folder, are on a second partition? Permissions wise does it simplify things?

Final question is it possible with iphoto to leave iphoto open with sharing on and share to another user on the same machine?

Do a search on Macupdate for a program called iPhoto Buddy. Launch this before iPhoto and make a standard iPhoto library on the top level of the hard drive. Then launch iPhoto from iPhoto Buddy. I use this to seperate my iPhoto libraries from year to year so the library stays small. Hope this helped.
