Is really exciting. The next best thing to seeing your CD in a real record store. Anyone else here done this and got a similar feeling?

Nice work. Are you the vocalist? Musician? Composer? All the above?
Congratulations!

Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not

Thanks. I'm not the vocalist, but I co-write and play lead guitar, as well as in charge of the electronics.
The way iTunes and similar services is changing the music industry is amazing. I know obviously the big difference is marketing, but it's nice to think that anyone can put there music up here and be competing head-to-head with the 'big boys'. The technological music revolution is awesome!

We used TuneCore: Welcome. It's a similar service but we preferred it because you pay them a small set yearly payment rather than a percentage of your sales.

Looks like the cost is $20 per album per year, and an additional $1 for each song on the album as a one-time fee? So putting up a 10-song CD will cost $30 for the first year, and then $20 each additional year?
I suppose artists get around 60 cents of each song sold?

CDbaby. Was using them anyway and it was free.
Love getting nice size "checks" from Apple. Theres about 50 some other downloadable sources my stuff is on but since iTunes IS the market, 95% of my income comes from them.
Money for nothin' and the chicks for free!
