Ok I'm really freaking out. I've had my MacBook, bought brand new, since last September. Played DVD'S on it from time to time. So today, I put in a DVD I've played before(Fellowship Extended Edition) and both DVD player and front row say its an un-recognizable format! what??!! whats going on?

what version system software are you on? When I initially updated to 10.5.2 and applied the security update that showed up after the update, DVDPlayer stopped working. I have to do an archive and install, then reinstall 10.5.2 and NOT install the security update, and that got it to work again. 10.5.3 supposedly also solved that.

OTOH, your's may be a different problem?
