I have a quick question about VPN implementation through Internet Connect in Panther. If I am using, say, a Nortel Contivity VPN box at my office and I want to connect to that from outside of the office on a Panther client machine, will I able to connect through Internet Connect or will I need to use Nortel's own software as I do now?

Thanks.

You will likely need to use Nortel's client.

While connection with a generic IPSec client is theoretically possible, almost every VPN concentrator from a major manufacturer has proprietary extensions turned on to enable more functionality.

I've been trying to get it working with a Cisco concentrator with no luck so far. We use SecureID (which Panther supports) but I haven't gotten it working yet.

I wasn't able to get client to work with the Nortel Contivity. I'm using a third-party tool (Netlock) which works very well.
