no Nike+ iPod hack?

I've looked all over the net but can't seem to find a hack that will let me use my iPod video with the Nike + system.

Does such a hack not exist? I really want to get the Nike + Sport kit but can't justify buying a nano just for this purpose.

Apple does not give the iPod SDK to anyone, therefore hacks such as that, unless created by Apple itself, are impossible.
