Specs: 2001 iBook 500MHz, Combo Drive, 384mb RAM

Problem: Monitor britness flickers for about half a second and then goes back to normal.

Anyone else have this problem?

When does it do this and what are you doing at the time? Specific applications? OS? Battery or Mains?

Could be:

1 Backlight

2 Inverter board

3 Bad connection

My guess would be the inverter board. That's likely a service only item. Are you still under Applecare?

Yep. I had plans to send it in for some other stuff once school got out for the semester anyway. Guess I can add this to the list.

Thanks.
